Today organizations are awash in data. They can know more about what their customers, members, audience and competitors are saying about them from so many different channels than ever before.  But figuring out how to organize, assimilate and convert these data into actionable intelligence is an immense challenge.  In this session, Aasil Ahmad (F'00), COO of Discourse Analytics/VOTIFI will explore some of the ways that organizations are using cutting edge data science to move beyond traditional market research and survey methods and build more active and more engaged audiences.

Aasil Ahmad (F'00) is a co-founder and COO of Discourse Analytics/VOTIFI, an analytics and insights company that segments audiences to build issue-weighted profiles on both the individuals and micro-segments within that audience. The insights they develop bring contextual relevance to the activities within the group, audience and community.  Aasil has worked in politics both here in the US and in Asia for the better part of the past 10 years. He has developed and executed technology strategies to help grassroots campaigns leverage mobile and social platforms to gain support and votes. Aasil sees the great potential in enabling individuals to find their voice through technology and its potential reformative power of democracy and antiquated institutions or methodologies.
