Online webinar
Thursday, November 17, 2011, 12:30 – 1:30pm

Job seekers agonize over their resume details: the font, the language, the length. All with the hope they will be selected by a recruiter or hiring manager, out of tens or hundreds of others to make their case in an interview. Why do some resumes rise to the top over others? A resume is your marketing document that tells your distinct and unique story over time. It explains clear accomplishments in your career and communicates your value to a potential employer. Hear from Jason Levin (MBA’06), Career Coach and Outplacement Consultant, at Ready, Set, Launch! as he outlines resume best practices and "makes over" two Hoya resumes. A Q&A component will be included. Jason will also review two participant’s resumes prior to the webinar and share the changes and edits made during the live session. If you would like your resume to be "made-over," please submit your resume to Jason@readysetlaunch.net for consideration. If you are selected, you need to be available for an hour interview to conduct the review. Please note that your information, names of employers and other details would be confidential and would be omitted from the webinar.

Jason Levin founded, Ready, Set, Launch!, www.readysetlaunch.net, after a 15-year career in brand management (Unilever), consulting (Accenture) and employer branding (Vault.com). Career and outplacement coaching is his passion, and he works with clients in mid-career transition, reentering the workforce, or just graduating from undergraduate or graduate school to land that next job, get a promotion or make a career change. Jason has been quoted recently in The Wall Street Journal, Money, Fortune, and MarketWatch on career related articles. His resume reviews have been published Crain’s Business New York. Jason received his MBA from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business in 2006.
