Georgetown University is a top-producing Fulbright institution. Last year, Hoya students and alumni won 21 awards! As an alumnus, you can put forward a Fulbright application with Georgetown University endorsement. The Office of Fellowships, Awards, and Resources (GOFAR) will lead this webinar to help alumni learn more about this transformative program; get advice to give you a competitive advantage; and, learn about next steps for applying for university endorsement.

This is your last chance to jump into the next application cycle, so don’t miss it!

We’ll address common myths such as:

Myth: I need to have a really high GPA to be competitive.
Wrong! Every year we have successful Georgetown awardees with GPA that range from 3.0 to 4.0! This is not a GPA-centric fellowship.

Myth: The Fulbright is as competitive as the Rhodes.
Wrong! There are over 2,000 awards up for grabs each year. Last year, 18 Georgetown students won awards.

Myth: I need to plan on a career in academia to be competitive for a research grant or I need to plan on a teaching career to be competitive for an English-teaching grant.
Wrong! The Fulbright invests in cultural exchange. It does not funnel its recipients into any one particular career path. They invest in your future – as you conceive of it!
