About the Presenter:
As a former Retail Buyer for Target Corporation, Vanessa Ting (MBA '08) now helps product companies strengthen their appeal to major retail buyers nationwide through two businesses, and Retail Path.

Her businesses have opened doors for product entrepreneurs in stores like Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Bed Bath and Beyond, Babies R Us and many independent retailers.  Client list includes Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company, multiple entrepreneurs who have appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank plus many other products now available in national retail giants. She is a regular contributor to the blog, Both Sides of the Retail Table, and has been interviewed as a retail buying expert on MSNBC’s Your Business with JJ Ramberg. She has also been featured in Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch and Tamara Monosoff’s The Mom Inventor’s Handbook (Second Edition).

Vanessa holds a BA from University of Southern California and an MBA from Georgetown University. She has 15+ years of marketing and retail experience from Johnson & Johnson and Target Corporation and now operates two companies – Retail Path, a retail consulting firm, and award-winning Buyerly, a B2B website that connects Retail Buyers and Product Companies for product feedback and wholesale orders.
