In a world where everything is digital—Facebook, LinkedIn, online dating sites—it becomes even more important than it used to be to make sure you are marketing yourself well. Whether searching for a new job or a new love interest, the first step in the process is ensuring that you’re putting your best foot forward.

In this webinar, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Erika Ettin (MBA'09), founder of the online dating consulting company A Little Nudge and author of Love at First Site, will be sharing her Six Secrets to Writing a Successful Online Dating Profile. In addition, where applicable, she will apply many of these same concepts to the business world, showing how they can be used in a professional or networking setting.

Specifically, Erika will be focusing on the following items:
Your online presence and ensuring everyone knows the appropriate photos to use (and not to use)
Pointers for the profile itself (online dating, LinkedIn, or otherwise) in terms of both length and content
Appropriate emailing techniques
The actual in-person meeting

About the Presenter:

Erika Ettin studied economics at Cornell University and received her MBA from Georgetown’s Evening Program in 2009. After a seven-year career at Fannie Mae as a financial economist, she started A Little Nudge in April of 2011. She has worked with over 500 clients and is responsible for many relationships, marriages, and the confidence some people simply need to “get out there.” She authored "Love at First Site: Tips & Tales for Online Dating Success from A Modern Day Matchmaker" this past summer.

A Little Nudge has been featured in The Washington Post, NPR, Good Day Philadelphia, News Channel 8, and Ask Men, and Erika currently writes a weekly dating column for Philly.com and a monthly column for JDate.

In her spare time, Erika enjoys Scotch tasting, playing “indoor fetch” with her Jack Russell/Dachshund mix Scruffy, and participating in storytelling performances around Washington, D.C., where she currently resides.
