Military veterans and employers of military veterans face similar challenges. For veterans, how do they apply their military background and skills to make them successful with the new employer and career? For military veteran employers, how do they fully understand and embrace the full value that military veterans bring to their organizations? In this webinar Chad Storlie (MBA'02) will review existing research on what employers want from veterans, what will make veterans the most successful, how military skill sets translate into useful career & business skills, and how to successfully navigate a military-to-corporate culture. Additionally, for current students, Chad will discuss how military skills can be used to create a robust career search plan and networking strategy.

Chad Storlie has had a distinguished career in both US Army Special Operations and civilian service. Chad is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Special Forces with 20+ years of service in infantry, special forces, and joint headquarters units. He served in Iraq, Bosnia, Korea, and throughout the United States. Chad is a mid-level marketing executive and has worked in marketing and sales roles for various companies, including General Electric, Comcast, and Manugistics. Chad holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a BA from Northwestern University.
