Many professionals experience dissatisfaction with the results they get for the amount of work they put in. Given the amount of time we spend working (at the office, at home, on our commute and even on vacation!), it’s easy to wonder why profits aren’t sky-rocketing, why clients aren’t thrilled with our products and services and why our suppliers can’t seem to get it right. Conventional wisdom says that by increasing the time and effort we spend on our jobs, we’ll be more competitive and thus more successful. But we’re starting to see more and more companies that are focusing on employee well-being and satisfaction, internal (and external!) collaboration, community engagement and are yielding amazing results and profits.  To find out how these companies are doing it, join this webinar!

Marianne Perez de Fransius (SFS ’02) will share an assessment tool which will help you:

  • Understand where in your business peace can lead to profits
  • Find out how major brands are incorporating collaboration and community successfully and profitably
  • Learn why consumers want to deal with ethically responsible companies
  • Get a grasp of CSR, supply-chain ethics, sustainable business, B-Corp, Fair Trade etc.
  • Take the first step toward making your business a force for good

Marianne was at Georgetown on 9/11, having just gotten back from studying and traveling in the Middle East. Seeing the world in crisis, Marianne decided to get a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies. But she soon found out that while theoretically everyone wants peace, the word “peace” is highly charged. So she founded Peace Is Sexy which redefines peace as sexy, possible, profitable and fun. Marianne has used peace tools and trained professionals in the for- and non-profit sectors. Currently, she’s developing the Peace Superheroes Series, a media property which aims to be innovative in its content (making peace fun) and in its function (making peace possible and profitable).
