There is a popular story that if you drop a frog into a pot of boiling water, it will jump out, but if you turn up the heat gradually, the frog will find itself cooked. Such is the relationship between email and the modern professional. The volume of email we receive is like the water temperature for our poor frog, and if you are not getting cooked now, you soon will be, as email volume is expected to DOUBLE between 2009 and 2012. So what is the ambitious and conscientious professional to do? Hear from David Kaiser (B’90), Executive Coach and CEO of Dark Matter Consulting, as he shares his five tools to help you to drive your productivity to new heights while reducing stress and keeping email in its proper perspective. A Q&A component will follow.
